Playing pumpkin

Graesen is still having stomach issues.  His doctor has referred him to a pediatric gastroenterologist.  I am hoping we can get in soon.  Every meal time he pulls his legs up towards his stomach, holds his breath, shifts around, grimaces, and grunts.  Poor kid :(  I took some pictures of it the other night, because when I try to explain it to doctors I think they have a hard time picturing it.  I figured if I can get a picture of it, I can take it in with me.  This isn't as bad as it gets, and it really doesn't capture how uncomfortable he seems.

Costumes, projects, and a silly boy

Graesen's costume came in the mail today.  I think he looks so cute with a big pumpkin belly!

Graesen and I have done a few art projects the past few days.
Finger painting a pumpkin:

Stamps (I showed him once and he figured out how to do it!):

Pumpkin garland (I found the directions here)

Graesen couldn't fall asleep last night, so after some long cuddling on the couch he finally crashed.  *Don't worry, I moved him to bed :)

Graesen is very into dancing lately.  He has also figured out how to open pretty much every drawer in the house.  A couple of nights ago he got into Evan's boxers and tried to put a pair on.  At first he got his head stuck and was wandering around tried to find me!  He finally got the boxers in a position that he could see and then proceeded to dance.  It was awesome :)

Apple picking

It was so warm out today I just knew I had to do something with Graesen outside.  Evan was at work, so Graesen and I headed up to a farm on our own to do some apple picking.  We didn't get many, just enough for one week, but we had fun.

Graesen was very interested in the pumpkins.

I got him a pumpkin donut to try.  They are made fresh up there and are so good.

Phoebe turns 2 and fall crafts

Phoebe's second birthday was yesterday, so Graesen and I spent the day doing fun things with her.  We went to the jump and bounce place, but for some reason both kids were more interested in the stackable block then the slides this time.

We also went out for a pizza.

Phoebe made herself a birthday cake with her playdough and crayons.

Graesen and I made a little Halloween craft using his feet today.  He giggled so hard while I traced his feet :).
I have some left over foam from a project in college, so I used it to make a little jack o' lantern for Graesen.  The eyes, nose, and mouth are not glued on, so Graesen can practice making his own faces.  He already made one and thought it was pretty funny:)
A few days ago I found directions (here) on how to make a fall shirt.  I decided to make one for Graesen since it is a cute, cheap project.  I chose fall colors as opposed to Halloween-specific colors and patterns so that Graesen can where it up through Thanksgiving.
Graesen couldn't fall asleep tonight, so we were cuddling on the couch.  He kept squirming until he fell asleep like this:

Fall sweater and matching cousins

Graesen had a playdate yesterday at the park.  He wore a grandma-made sweater.  I love all of his knit sweaters!
Phoebe and Graesen wore matching outfits today.  It was pretty cute.
