First night without Mommy

Evan and I had a gift card that his brother, Scott, and wife, McKenzie, got us for Christmas.  It was to a nearby resort for a room and dinner.  We were very grateful for this, as this was our first time leaving Graesen without either of us, and it was kind of nice to live in luxury for a night.  Graesen stayed with my parents for the night.  I was nervous that he would cry at night, but they said that he did awesome!  He never cried, although I am sure it helped that my mom let him sleep in bed with her :)  As we were getting ready to go, Graesen loved playing with the bags.  He was such a gentleman and kept trying to carry my bag :)

Here is our room with a view of the marina:

We loved just laying in bed and wathcing t.v. while snacking.

We went to dinner at the super fancy resort restaurant.  It was so good and we were incredibly full!  I didn't bring my camera to dinner, but I did get some pictures with Evan's phone.  The coolest thing was when we noticed something on a counter that looked like cotton candy.  Evan asked our waitress if that was what it was, since we were so surprised to see cotton candy in such a fancy restaurant.  She said it was and they usually serve it to people on anniversaries and birthdays.  She brought us one just for fun.  It had a hole in the middle with ice cream and a candle in it.  The little happy birthday sign was made out of chocolate!

Today, right before we left:

Graesen was very happy to see us and very tired from all the fun that he had.

He and Phoebe took a bath together tonight and were too funny.  They just love each other and we caught them giving each other a kiss :)
