Graesen and I got up to go to church today (Evan stayed home to sleep since he had been at work very late). We haven't been there in a while, because we have been gone or had something going on each weekend. It was nice to be back, but Graesen was not happy to be left in the nursery. He was hysterical. Since school got out he has not been away from me for more than a couple of hours, and when he has been it has been with family. The nursery volunteers told me to leave for 5 minutes then come back and see how he was. I did and he was still sobbing. I ended up taking him into the service with me, but then he started to get a little chatty. A women next to me was giving me some looks, so I took him out after he said "Look, Mommy" for the 3rd time. We ended up just walking on the college campus that is connected to our church. Hopefully next week Evan will be there to help me out and maybe cousin Phoebe will be in the nursery too (it used to help a lot to send them together). We did have a nice walk, though, and then went to my grandparents house which is only a couple of blocks away for a visit.
We headed up to the local farms this afternoon for the Cherry Festival. Unfortunately, the cherries are about a week late this year due to colder than normal weather, so most places did not have anything going on. We did stop at one farm that has a store/cafe attached to it and shared a sandwich and ice cream.
Tonight we went to my parents' house for a swim because it was really hot out. Graesen is turning into such a little daredevil :)
