Why I was glad it was a cool, rainy day

I was happy to have a cool, rainy day today, because I wanted to dress Graesen in the outfit my mom him for Easter again before he grows out of it.  I didn't get good pictures, because we were on the go running errands, and literally running (before the rain started) all day.

I love this outfit.  Where we live you don't see kids wearing stuff like this.  There is a blog my mom and I both read and her son wears a lot of these types of outfits, so I requested one for Graesen.  My mom is great at all things sewing, knitting, smocking, and crafty.  I have noticed that these type of outfits are very popular in the south, whereas around here kids pretty much live in jeans.  Since I am going against the norm and dressing my son in sweet outfits like these, I have to ask, does anyone know how long it is socially acceptable to dress your son in such outfits?  I just love them, but I know he will hit an age where he will be too old for them.  So, if you live in an area where kids where clothes like these it would be great if you tell me what the cut off age is!
