I took Graesen to the library today for the first time in a long time. He has tons of books at home (I am literally almost out of room in his bookshelf) so it's not like he's being deprived of good books, but the last couple of times I took him he was way too wild. It seems like he has matured enough and now better understands proper library behavior. Today I wanted to get him some fall/halloween books. He has a few at home, but I wanted to kind of teach him some more about this season. He was very surprised when my mom happened to be at the library at the same time :) He played on the kids' computers and did puzzles.
This is my last week of working at the gym nursery (I'll stay on the sub list) since substitute teaching is starting back up. There are several renovations being done at the gym this week, so most of the classes were canceled. This meant I had no kids the whole night. We got a lot of time to read the library books :)
Tomorrow is my first day back to substitute teaching. I have an afternoon job, then I will pick Graesen up and we will head to the gym nursery to work there. I am sad that summer is over. Graesen has been with me pretty much 24/7 all summer, so it is going to be an adjustment leaving him again. I like teaching, but I love being a mom so much more. Unfortunately, bills have to be paid, so we will make it happen. We are blessed to have schedules that keep Graesen with either Evan or myself most of the time. When he does need a sitter he either goes to my mom, Evan's mom occasionally, or a baby sitter from our church. The kid is never deprived of love!
