I had to have gum grafting/ frenulectomy (no idea how to spell this and too lazy to look it up) done this morning at the dentist. It was not my favorite thing. I had to be re-numbed twice, which means that twice I could feel the cutting and stitching. It took a lot longer than planned and the dentist said it was one of the biggest grafts he has ever had to do. I'm special like that :) Tonight I have a nice stint in to help protect the roof of my mouth while it heals. I can't really move my lower lip at all unless I want some pain. Eating is particularly painful right now, but I have to eat with my antibiotics. The antibiotics I am taking (to prevent infection following oral surgery) makes my stomach hurt really bad. If I eat with them it hurts less. If I take my antibiotics and my pain meds then my entire torso feels like it is going to explode. Probably not worth it to take the pain meds. It takes away the pain in my mouth but gives me even greater pain in my stomach. This is why I am not a fan of meds unless they are absolutely necessary (like the antibiotics). My body seems to react strangely to meds.
Once the stomach pain subsided I decided I could toughen up and help decorate the tree. A while back I found a sweet book at the Christian supply store that came with a cd. We decided to let Graesen open it early so that he could listen to the music in the month leading up to Christmas.
Graesen was a great helper with the tree :)
