Graesen kept getting super sleepy today. I try not to let him nap during the day, because if I do he is up really late (like 11 pm or later). He seems to be getting a bit of a cold and he kept falling asleep at weird times. Each time though, when I tried to move him he jolted awake and became super hyper.
I took Graesen to the mall this afternoon to see Santa. I want to introduce him to Santa a couple of times before we try and do pictures so that maybe he won't be too scared. Today he was scared. He told me Santa was scary. I told him that Santa was nice and that he was cool because he wears red like fire trucks. Graesen liked this and decided that Santa may be tolerable since he wears red (Graesen is currently obsessed with all things red and having to do with fire trucks). We went to the second level where Graesen could look at Santa from a distance. He yelled out, "Santa, I see you down there!" Apparently, Santa is okay from a distance.
After meeting Santa Graesen got to play in the play area. He played very hard and started copying the big boys by jumping off the climbing equipment. He is seriously an accident waiting to happen.
Speaking of accidents waiting to happen, Graesen and another little boy about his size were running as fast as they could through the play area. Neither one was looking and they ran smack into each other, bumping heads, and then falling down. Graesen has a nice red, slightly swollen, mark under his eye now.
