Graesen and I kept busy today. After a morning of cleaning (for me) and playing (for Graesen) we went off to see fire fighter santa. A local fire department drives around each year with a fire truck pulling santa on a trailer. We tried to see him a couple of weeks ago, but there must have been an emergency because there was no santa that night. Today I knew that they would be parked in a grocery store parking lot. Graesen was not a big fan of santa, so I had to go up with him. A nice fire woman offered to take our picture. Graesen absolutely loved the fire trucks.
Tonight Graesen, Phoebe, my aunt, and I drove to a nearby town to see a drive through nativity scene. The church members handed out cds as we drove in. There was a track for each scene that describe what was happening in each part of the Christmas story. It was pretty neat :)
I have been looking for full time jobs. There are not many this time of year. Having a teaching degree doesn't do you much good in our town right now. Most of the jobs I am qualified for are part time, or minimum wage, part time and minimum wage. None of those will be enough money for me to support Graesen and I on my own in our own place. For now I will keep substitute teaching and applying for any job I see that would pay enough. If you could say a prayer for me it would be great. I am anxious to figure out a way to fully (financially) support Graesen and I. I am hoping to minimize the amount of time we will need to live with family. I hope to make enough to get our own place so that Graesen can have a sense of consistency and security.
