Graesen had a big, sad, meltdown today. My mom and I both showed up to pick up the kids from the sitter at the same time (she takes Phoebe with her). Graesen does not understand why Phoebe gets to go with my mom and ride in her trucks (trucks are the coolest thing in case you didn't know). He sobbed and sobbed most of the way home. I felt so bad for his sad little heart break. It's not like he doesn't get tons of love and attention from my mom all the time, but he is two and sometimes when you are two you just get sad and think that everything is unfair. He cried and cried, and then crashed.
He woke up a new boy. He didn't nap for long, but when he woke up he wanted to dance and sing and giggle. But then he had another moment that really could only happen to a two-year-old.
He got stuck in a pot. Really.
He was pretending to cook and for some reason decided to try and sit on the pot.
Luckily, it only took a second for him to realize how silly it was that he was stuck in a pot :) He kept saying, "Mommy, I'm stuck in the cooking!"
A little side note, while brushing Graesen's teeth tonight I noticed that he has 2 new molars coming in. Since it took him 13 months to get his first tooth, I was actually quite surprised to see some two-year-old molars showing up while he is still two.
I didn't do a post last night. I was up really late wrapping Christmas presents while Graesen slept. Here was our day yesterday:
Graesen saw me water the tree in the morning and decided that he needed to water it too. I decided to see what he would do and just my camera out and watched :)
(Our carpet got a nice watering!)
Graesen begged to paint:
On a run in the cold. The little stinker refuses to wear blankets lately, so I put one on him right after this picture.
We had to go to the mall to pick up a baby shower gift. I let Graesen play in the play area. After he played for a little bit I let him go choose a couple of rides to go on. He always sees kids on them and begs to ride, but I almost never have quarters on me. This time I thought ahead and Graesen was a very happy boy because of it.
I just love this sweet boy :)
