Apple

Graesen learned how to eat an apple like a big boy this week.  I think he is proud of himself :)

Sometimes Graesen can be very naughty.  Tonight he was quite wild.  Once he finally fell asleep I started catching up on some blogs I have not read in a long time (they were bookmarked on our laptop which was broken and had to be repaired).  Two blogs that I had not read in 2 or 3 months broke my heart  One had lost a baby to a heart condition, and the other just last week to an unknown cause.  I don't know these families, but I cried.  Losing Graesen is my biggest fear.  I just hurt for those who lose their children.  I am so grateful that I have my sleeping son beside me right now.  I am not even trying to move him into bed yet, because I love to watch him and be near him.  As crazy as he may get, or as naughty as he can be, I will thank God for every day I get to spend with my sweet son.  He is a gift and proof in my life that God loves me.

Exhausted

The computer was doing something weird last night, so I couldn't post until this morning.  Poor Graesen was so exhausted yesterday from all the weekend fun.  He slept in until 10 and took a 3 1/2 hour nap.  Totally not like the usual Graesen.

4 little jumping beans

We took all four kids jumping today.  They had a blast.

Graesen

And this is Graesen from tonight playing in the dog's water bowl at my parents' house.  My aunt had actually walked in on him a few minutes before to find him drinking out of the dog bowl just like a dog.  That's the kind of thing that happens when Graesen is in another room even for a second :)

box

My sister is in town with her family, so we are all spending a lot of time visiting at my parents' house.  Unfortunately, their dish washer broke last night, so my dad had to go buy a new one today.  The kids are loving the box.

Sometimes Graesen loves Walter a little too much

And this is what happened when Graesen and Phoebe decided to try and swim in rice bin.

Driving and a new sensory bin

While Evan strapped Graesen's carseat into my car today (we only have one, so we switch it back and forth), Graesen climbed into the front seat and tried to drive off.  He is such a boy :)

My mom made Graesen a new Easter sensory bin today.  She dyed rice different spring colors.  So far it is a big hit.

Graesen's first trip to the dentist

Graesen went to the dentist for the first time today.  He got a perfect report!

Starting to crash while at the grocery store :)

The other day we were at my parent's house.  Graesen and Phoebe were playing in the playroom after dinner.  We heard Graesen start to cry and came in to find him in the doll high chair.  He had climbed in and gotten stuck!

Valentine's Day 2011

I had to work this morning and Evan had to work this afternoon/night.  This is the busiest day of the year for his work.  We had a little time in the middle, so I drove straight from work and met Evan and Graesen at the trampoline place for toddler time.  It is nice to just be with each other and watch Graesen laugh and learn.  Today he learned how to actually jump, like both feet of the ground kind of jumping.  It was adorable, especially when he tried to show off to the girls there.

Evan and I gave Graesen a few small gifts (letter g stamp, valentine plate, kitty book, polar fleece, and a couple of sweets).  He loved the kitty book and plate the best.  He loved the candy until it made his hands sticky.  He cried until I washed them :)

I have to say that it was kind of lonely tonight.  We missed Evan and wished he could have been with us.  It didn't need to be anything special, just dinner in as a family or cuddling on the couch to watch a movie.  Maybe next year I will take the morning off so we can do breakfast as a family.  We did go out to eat last night, but I would have loved more time together today.
