Running buddy

Today I am very grateful for my little running buddy, and the sunset we watched after our run.

Graesen is a wild man with a crush

Graesen is convinced that he is an adult.  Starting today he has decided that he no longer likes to eat in his high chair.  He wants to sit in a grown up chair at the table with Evan and I.

It was rainy this afternoon, so Evan and I took Graesen to the mall to play in the play area.  He liked it, but he liked running off even more.  I have a serious escape artist on my hands.

My friend, Jamie, is in town this week (the one we visited in Florida).  Graesen and I went on a walk with her tonight, then brought take out food back home.  Graesen really likes Jamie and was showing off big time.  I realize that the dancing picture is blurry, but that is only because he was moving so fast.  It was probably his best dancing of all times.

Then and Now

Today after work Graesen seemed sleepy, so I put on my sweats and did one of my favorite things:
Then:

We also enjoyed some sand box time after running.

Boots and doughnuts

Sometimes I can't believe that this sweet boot-wearing, doughnut-loving boy is mine.

(Graesen discovered that there are doughnuts available after the church service.  He was slightly excited.)

Lions, and Tigers, and Bubbles, Oh My!

Graesen had a very full day today.  We started off by doing a little shopping as a family for Graesen's Easter present.  We ended up getting the cutest garden stuff for him that I know he will love.  Graesen is very into copying what Evan and I are doing lately, so we figured he would like to do that out in the yard too.  While we were out we stopped for lunch.  Graesen figured out how to make his crayon box whistle.  I was impressed.

In the afternoon Graesen and I met with my sister and Phoebe to go to a local big cat rescue place.  Graesen loved it.  I like seeing the animals, but it makes me a little sad that they don't have more room to run and play.  (Yes, I did try to keep Graesen from licking the fence, but the kid is very into licking things lately.  Totally gross)

After seeing the cats we let the kids try out some bubble wands I found at the dollar store.  They really liked it, especially Phoebe.   Graesen mainly wanted to swing.  (That would be Phoebe's pink water bottle.  Our kids end up sharing a lot of germs).

Tonight we went to my aunt's house for our weekly movie and dinner night.  Graesen was so exhausted by the end of the day, so I am hoping he sleeps well tonight.

Phoebe and Graesen Easter fun

Phoebe came over again tonight.  We had an Easter egg hunt.

And painted bunnies.

And Graesen wore Phoebe's shoes, because he is obsessed with everyone's shoes.
