Bike riding

Wednesday we went to a bike riding event with my parents and Phoebe.  Four miles of road were blocked off and the kids biked the whole way.  Well, Phoebe requested some "assistance" some of the way :)

Picnic at the park

Last night we met with my family for a father's day picnic.  The kids got to play on the playground and in the splash pad, so they were very happy :)

Eating breakfast on the run this morning...literally:

Graesen's first triathlon!

Wednesday night we took a quick trip to the library then headed to our church bbq and worship service.  The Wednesday night summer services are meant to be family friendly, so kids can dance around or color at tables in the back.  There is no childcare, so everyone just stays in there together.  Graesen had so much fun dancing around and kept sneaking up to take a closer look at the instruments.  He told me that next time he his going to bring his guitar :)

Thursday-Free ride outside the grocery store and a special treat just for fun :)

Friday- writing Great Grandpa's birthday card:

Saturday morning Graesen took part in his first triathlon.  It was so cute!

After the triathlon Graesen and Phoebe got to play at a splash pad together.

Active boy

Graesen had quite an active weekend.  Saturday morning I ran a fun run.  Graesen ran around before hand and then a friend pushed him in the stroller so I could run a little harder.  The crazy thing was, the course was very poorly marked and about 1 1/2 miles in a man and I asked a race volunteer which way to go and she sent us the wrong way!  Since the race was on a popular trail, and the fun run had no race tags, we had no idea we weren't in the race for quite a while.  We thought the regular runners on the trail were racers.  We finally realized we were on the wrong trail, so we turned back and took another way, but we were on the wrong trail again.  The 5 mile race ended up being about 7 1/2 miles for us!

Saturday afternoon Phoebe came over, and I loaded both kids up in the wagon with a picnic lunch.  We headed to a splash pad and they played/ran hard for about 2 hours.

All dry and ready to go home:

Sunday morning eating his weekly doughnut at church :)

Last night we went to my friend's parents' house for a bbq.  My friend lives in Florida, but is a teacher and decided to head home for the summer :)  Graesen was hilarious while we were there.  He wanted to play on the deck, but suddenly stopped and asked, "Is this deck made of slivers?"  He was so worried about getting a sliver :)
He also got 3 of us playing freeze tag with him in dresses and skirts.
After dinner he started playing with one of the old cross country coached from our high school who is a good friend of their family.  I'm not sure who was more wild, Graesen or the adults!

Today we managed to fit in a quick run before work.  I really like when we can do this, so I'm trying to do it whenever Graesen wakes up early enough.
