Cuddles and a party

With the divorce being final, our new custody schedule started this week.  Graesen spent two nights with Evan this week, the longest he has ever been away from me.  I missed him like crazy, and even though he was sleeping when I got him Wednesday night, he perked right up and wanted to talk and cuddle :)

Thursday night I took Graesen to get his hair cut.  He was cracking me up.  He is so ticklish that he can't quit laughing.  In order to have him hold still the hair stylist told him to hold his breath for as long as he could.  For some reason Graesen thought he had to hold his breath with his mouth wide open.  So ridiculous looking!

Last night I let Graesen have some doritos while watching a movie. He's not exactly the tidiest eater.

Today was Phoebe's 5th birthday party.

Sometimes unwrapping can be tough and require a friend :)

Graesen went out with Zach and they played in the rain.  It wasn't raining all that hard, but they decided to stand under the roof where all the water runs off.  Graesen came inside and told us that he was all sweaty from playing so hard.

I cuddled with Hunter while the boys played outside (Phoebe wasn't feeling well, so she stayed in).

Last week

Things have been a bit crazy around here.  My divorce was finalized (finally!) and Graesen and I are preparing to move in about 2 1/2 weeks.  Plus both Graesen and I have had colds and did not feel good last week.  All that means no posts, because I was way too tired to stay up to write anything.
I can't remember which days we took these pictures or much of anything about them, so I'll just post them.

My birthday was Wednesday and at the party Graesen and Phoebe kept asking for a map so they could see where they lived.

They later came out of the playroom dressed up to "get married."  Graesen hung a baby sling around his next to look like a tie :)

Graesen figured out that if he held his pinwheel up to the air conditioner it would spin.

After church this week Graesen ran to his room, grabbed his guitar, and tried to sing/play "Beautiful Things" by Gungor.

Just so tired

I am just so tired by nighttime lately, since the lack of posts.  Most nights I just don't find it worth it to stay up.

Graesen started a new class at school last week.  He loves his teacher, and it is really nice because our classes do a lot of things together.  I get to see Graesen for a couple hours during the school day.

Graesen decided that he wanted to be a pumpkin for Halloween this year.  I found a costume at a consignment shop that was 18-24 month size and fit him!  I'm not sure what kind of 18-24 month giants they made it for :)  Graesen will wear black sweats and a black longsleeve under the costume on Halloween.

Friday night I went to a co-worker's wedding.  It was so beautiful! Graesen got to hang out with my parents, which he loved.

Saturday morning we shared a smoothie on the way to go drop Graesen off to Evan.

Graesen always sleeps so hard after his visits with Evan.

My mom and I worked on a pumpkin shirt for Graesen over the weekend.  I used fusible web to put the design on the shirt, and my mom used her sewing machine for the stitching.

Monday morning we fit in a run before work.  Graesen was being a goof:

Monday night Graesen held Hunter at my parents' house.  He loves babies so much.

Tuesday night I took Graesen to the pharmacy to pick up his allergy meds and flouride.  I asked about flu shots and they said they had them in and Graesen could get his right away.  We went ahead and did it.  Graesen was quite sad about it for a couple hours.

Wednesday morning, running:

They love each other so much :)

Graesen insisted on dressing up for our run this morning:

Tonight I worked on Graesen's "posters" for being star of the week.  He is supposed to do it next week.

Long weekend

First of all, I am totally bummed, because for the first time ever I accidentally deleted some pictures from my camera that I hadn't yet transferred to my computer.  Saturday Graesen and I attended two weddings (one for a coworker and one for a cousin).  I had some great pictures from those and I deleted them :(  Graesen had so much fun dancing like crazy.  At the first wedding there was a horse drawn carriage and they gave kids rides after the ceremony.  At the second wedding Graesen got to ride on a kid sized train that was at the grange where the reception was.  I wish I had those pictures to share!

Yesterday we went to downtown for a food festival with my aunt.  Graesen got a little spoiled and got to go on some rides and play in the fountain.

Today we met with family for a picnic in the park.  Afterward my sister and I took the kids to a trail to try and get some pictures of them.  Unfortunately, it wasn't as hot as it had been (it wasn't cold, but just not as toasty), so we couldn't do as much with Hunter as originally planned.  Once we swaddled him he was happy.  We used a boppy and some blankets to kind of cradle him in the basket so he couldn't roll out :)  Graesen was more than happy to pose with Hunter, but Phoebe was not in the mood.  We made do and still got some sweet pictures :)  A couple of times we told Graesen and Phoebe to go give each other a hug and a kiss so that we could get a picture of them near each other.  Well, Phoebe watches a lot of princess shows and took the opportunity to practice her princess kissing!  :)  She also told Graesen that he needed to bow down to her :)  The quilts were made by my great grandma.  *Graesen took the picture of me holding Hunter.
