Catching up...again

Monday night we went to a pool near our house for the night swim time:

Tuesday night Graesen got to spend some time with my parents while I went to my running group.  No picture that day.

Wednesday we went out to dinner for my grandma's birthday.  The kids had a ton of fun playing in the game area:

Thursday we went for a run after dinner and stopped at the park for Graesen to play:

Today after work we went to get Graesen a hair cut and then went swimming:
Graesen is getting so good at swimming.  He has finally figured out how to come up to breathe, and is beginning to swim unassisted on his back.  Tonight he swam the width of the pool with no assistance and no floaties.  He also was jumping off the diving board (again, no floaties!) and swimming to the side with no help.  It amazes me that I never really had to teach Graesen how to swim.  It's like he was born a swimmer and has just always known how :)

4th Birthday Party

Graesen wanted a Cars birthday party this year.  I got a lot of ideas from pinterest.  I was able to re-use a lot of the decorations from last year and just add some car stuff into it.  I set the party up center style, so the kids could just move from one center to the next on their own without adults running the show.  It worked out perfect.  There was a bean bag toss.  I had my dad bring me tires from his work and my mom sewed the bean bags for me.  At another station I set up Graesen's car garage for the kids to play with.  I also set up a car wash station where the kids could drive their cars through the dirt and then wash them with shaving cream, water, and tooth brushes (for scrubbing).  I also set up a coloring station with Cars coloring pages and stickers.  The big exciting thing was the race track.  I asked a family friend, Larry, if he had a piece of wood I could use.  He didn't just give me a piece of wood, he built the whole track and made it with hinges so we could collapse it and store it under Graesen's bed.  So awesome!

The night before, having some gluten free pizza after hours of party prep:

Sunday we went to a water park.  Graesen loved it :)
